Cooperative Language Learning (CLL) focuses on making the most of all cooperative activities in pairs and small groups of students in the classroom for the teaching of a second language, in this case English. “ Cooperative learning is group learning activity organized so that learning is dependent on the socially structured exchange of information between learners in groups, and in which each learner is held accountable for his or her own learning and is motivated to increase the learning of others.” (Olsen and Kagan 1992: 8); therefore, I believe that it is a method that encourages and motivates students to participate in their learning process as well as to support and promote collaborative and meaningful learning by succeeding in changing the traditional classroom environment for a more dynamic and attractive students sharing their knowledge and learning from the teacher as from their peers.



Total Physical Response (TPR) is about the student getting a speech-to-action coordination. “The sequence is listening before speaking and the mode is to synchronize language with the individual’s body" (Asher, 1977: 4, p.74); I think this methodology or strategy is interesting to apply in the classroom so that students have the opportunity to interact with the language apart from developed communication skills, listening, concentration, body and physical memory, according to Katona "Combined tracking activities, such as verbal essay accompanied by motor activity, therefore increase the possibility of remembering successfully" (1940, p. 74).
